Equity Research Insights was founded by Surendran Panicker and its philosophy and methodology were shaped by the lessons learned and experience gained over 25 years as a portfolio manager, research analyst, and sector specialist advising institutional portfolio managers and hedge funds on stock selection.

Some of his key experiences include a 10-year tenure as the Head of US equities at Colonial First State, where he managed institutional funds. He also has 15 years of combined experience as an analyst, latterly as Director, Global Technology Specialist Sales, at Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking. In this role, he advised portfolio managers and hedge funds across the globe on the technology sector. He was part of a team advising US and European companies in their IPO process and in secondary fund-raising.

Surendran holds a BSc (Econ) Hons from the London School of Economics and an MSc Econ from Cardiff University, specializing in International Economics.
